The Hemmings Challenge Rally Race will begin this Sunday in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and I will be reporting from race central throughout the five-day event in addition to acting as road crew support for the Hemmings Speedster. I will be taking some photos and back-alleying to the lunch stop on each of the five days, then scooting back to race central each evening to post results and pictures as well as taking care of any preventative maintenance or problems that occur with the race car during each leg.
Rally participants should start arriving for registration and vehicle inspection at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green Friday morning. If you plan on being in the area, stop by and say hello and check out some of these vintage rally race cars.
Cities who will be vying for the $5,000 prize for best lunch stop of the rally include Greenville, Kentucky, on Monday; Dickson, Tennessee, on Tuesday; Bardstown, Kentucky, on Wednesday; Tell City, Indiana, on Thursday; and Glasgow, Kentucky, on Friday.
More information on the rally and the schedule of events is available on the Vintage Car Rally Association website.
Thanks for this interesting story, even if it did take quite a long time to finish reading. (English is not my first language) Can I ask where you get your sources from? Many thanks!
