For years, my friends up here in the Northeast have been telling me that I must attend the big Ty-Rods show every September. The Ty-Rods, which have been around since 1952, bill themselves as the oldest hot rod club in the Northeast, and have been putting on their show just outside of Boston for 38 years now. Due to travel and other schedule conflicts, I wasn’t able to see this spectacle until this past weekend, and I was far from disappointed. Admission was open to any vehicle from 1972 and earlier, which meant that a few muscle cars were to be found among the rows, but the vast majority of the cars were hot rods and customs, and many of those displaying the utmost in creativity.
