The Snow Cruiser in motion

Written by webmin

After reading Bob Lichty’s excellent story on the Poulter-designed Snow Cruiser built for Admiral Byrd’s third Antarctic expedition in this past weekend’s SIA Flashback, I went traipsing through the Internets to see if anybody had found the Snow Cruiser in the quarter century since the SIA article. Other than plenty of speculation regarding the fate of the Snow Cruiser by a bunch of hollow-earthers, I didn’t find much new in the way of Snow Cruiser research. However, I did come across this series of videos on YouTube uploaded by user caccsbill that depict the Snow Cruiser from its inception through its journey across the Northeast to Boston and then onto a ship headed south.
