This is a sketch from a UK TV program done by John Cleese a year or so before Monty Python began called “How To Irritate People” that features Michael Palin & Graham Chapman that was a prototype of the “Dead Parrot” sketch that was based on an actual experience that Cleese had w/a car salesman

No, really? This was based on an actual experience? I would have never imagined… And for a pie, who can tell us the make and model of the car?
