This past weekend, I received an email titled, “Sad Day,” from the hugely talented Mike DiFazio, our former Hemmings Classic Car Auto Art profilee. Fresh from 1970 – four import ads, half of which have some sort of phrase that might be considered risque by a few really conservative readers back in the day. Frankly, I enjoyed the play with words myself, and I’m sure it swayed a few who were on the fence when it counted.
