If you missed the Riviera meet because of the threat of rain, it’s a shame. With the exception of the quick thundershower that moved through the area at roughly 1:30 in the afternoon, it was a sunny (and hot) day. Over 130 cars representing nearly every year of production were present, as well as several members of the Oldsmobile Toronado Club, which were invited to partake in the festivities. And, it should be said, all in attendance were having a blast. If there was one thing I learned about the ROA, there’s a strong bond among them all, no matter the model year. In fact, if there was any ribbing , it was all in good fun and with high spirit. Full coverage will be appearing in an upcoming issue of Hemmings Motor News soon.
Several members are planning on attending the All-GM Nationals at Carlisle starting Friday, so there’s still a chance to see a few Rivieras before they disperse from Harrisburg.
