Last week’s Hemmings Six Degrees of Automotive Separation Challenge didn’t go off that well. Ducatis, it appears, are not the forte of our regular participants. So let’s tread back toward familiar territory and consider Land Rover for this week’s challenge. Considering the company’s long list of former owners, this week’s challenge may prove to be a bit too easy, so let’s introduce a serious handicap this week: No connection to another automotive company can be made via ownership alone; connections can only be made via parts sharing. Bonus points if you only use connections forged in the 20th century (pre-Ford ownership era).
So let’s get right to it. As before, this is a fox-and-hound-type challenge, in which the first person to respond gets to suggest an automotive company to link to Land Rover in six degrees or less. Whoever successfully answers that challenge gets to suggest another company to link to Land Rover, and so on and so forth.
