SIA Flashback – 1949 Kaiser Traveler: America’s First Hatchback

We may think of the recent focus on original, unrestored cars as a new development in the collector car world, but that’s just not the case, as we see from Randy Mason’s article on the Kaiser Traveler that he obtained for The Henry Ford Museum in SIA #87, June 1985. After a quick and dirty history on Kaiser-Frazer, he explains exactly how he came about this particular car and what made it worth picking up for The Henry Ford.
