It seems an entire junkyard out in Maxwell, Nebraska, is shutting down and liquidating its inventory. Fortunately, they’re sending their 50-year collection of 1940s to 1970s cars to auction July 17, 2011. Unfortunately, these are the kinds of auctions at which the recyclers clean up unless classic car enthusiasts outbid them. We see mostly American iron here, and mostly full-size sedans and station wagons at that, though there seems to be a good number of Corvairs, along with that Jeep FC-170 that would get a good home here at Casa de la Strohlio. Check the Fowlkes Auction page for more. (via)
