Nebraska seems to be a good place to find project cars as of late. First, an entire junkyard in Maxwell liquidated its inventory last month, and now we see that a collection of about 150 vehicles is going up for auction in Bennington, Nebraska, next month. According to the auction description, the collection was assembled over the last 35 years and includes vehicles from 1906 through the 1980s. From the photos, it appears they were simply put away or put out to pasture without much protection – presumably the collector was gonna get around to ‘em all one day.

The list of vehicles so far includes:

By the way, we checked with SEMA, and while Nebraska’s legislature did recently introduce a bill that would remove inoperable vehicles from private property after just six hours, it seems that bill has been shelved, so unless there’s some other force conspiring to rid the Cornhusker State of old cars that we don’t know about, we’ll chalk two similar sales in such a short time to coincidence.
