One difficult aspect of attending the Scottsdale auction bonanza, other than realizing you don’t have 1.7 million bucks to spend on a 1970 E-body Plymouth, is watching cars and trucks you would truly enjoy driving changing into hands other than your own. All is not lost. There are times when cars and trucks don’t sell or hit reserve, and get thrown back into the pond to grow a bit. This 1983 Jeep Laredo is original save for fresh paint, and is equipped with the most awesome off-road use only accessory of all time – a pair of smiley face cover KC Daylighters. The Jeep was loaded with the deluxe interior, including a tough dash clock with quartz movements. The CJ-7 did not sell at the Silver Auction, despite a final bid of $15,000. This Jeep Laredo is still out there somewhere, waiting for a run into the desert to collect a few extra saguaros for the back yard. Just make sure you have a permit.
