If you’ve ever traveled through Pennsylvania, the you’ll know there are two seasons: winter, and road construction. Because it’s late June, I’ll let you guess the reason why I arrived a little later than planned at the Riviera Owners Association meet yesterday. Fortunately, the delay did not interfere with my plans to photograph a stunning 1964 edition just three weeks removed from restoration; it will be appearing in an upcoming issue of Hemmings Classic Car soon. As I type, the forecast for the Thursday morning/early afternoon show is hot (96 degrees), so if you plan on stopping by, make sure you pack some SPF90 and plenty of water. Though unofficial at this point, I’m hearing a car count well in excess of 100 examples of famed model from up and down the coast, as well as several from the Midwest. I hope to provide some advanced coverage from the Harrisburg gathering within the next 24 hours.
