If you’re in the midst of an AMC restoration, Ontario, Canada-based Jim’s Restoration has released a number of new reproduction parts in recent months, beginning with the rearview mirror pictured above. Applicable to owners of 1964-’66 AMC/Ramblers, the left/right mirror features a correct “R” and comes with an appropriate gasket for $129; it is also available without the “R” for 1967-’69 AMC/Ramblers for $109.
Jim’s also offers 1968-’74 AMX/Javelin/Rebel/Ambassador/Matador door handles with a correct brushed finish costing $99 each; they also fit 1975-’78 Matadors. New trunnions are available – complete with polyurethane bushings installed, and the bearing and install kit – which will fit 1968-’69 AMX and Javelin models, as well as 1964-’69 Americans (including the SC/Rambler); cost is $149 each without a core charge. Lastly, Jim’s offers 1963-’64 Classic/Ambassador and 1964-’69 American owners reproduction door handles at a cost of $149/pair with gaskets (images for these items can be seen in the gallery below).
Mopar Plus by PG Classic offers two-door, large-body AMC sill plates. Listed as part number AMC-466, they are listed as fitting 1968-’70 Rebel and Ambassadors, and retail for $149; they may fit other AMC applications as they are replacements for original AMC part number 3575572.
