Many Americans may not know this, but there’s a Memorial Day kind of commemoration in Great Britain, too, that coincides with our own. It’s one of the largest shows of military trucks and regalia in Great Britain, known colloquially as Trucks and Troops. This year’s date is May 28 through 30, and the location is the Beaulieu estate in the south of England, home of the National Motor Museum.

Full details are still being worked out, but Trucks and Troops drew thousands of attendees last year, plus hundreds of vehicles and militaria displays. It’s organized by the South Hampshire Area of the Military Vehicle Trust. Remember, too, that Britain remains a trove of former World War II airfields, and that Beaulieu is one of the U.K.’s holiest places of motoring history. Find out more at www.beaulieu.co.uk.
