As the dust settles from another record weekend in Monterey, California, attention now turns to the upcoming 55th Annual Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival. Held in and around downtown Auburn, Indiana, just blocks from the ACD Auto Museum, a popular part of the festivities includes the two auctions.

For the third consecutive year, Worldwide Auctioneers will hold their three-day sale at this location on September 2-4. With roughly 450 cars consigned, plus a select number (80) vehicles consigned to their “Main Event,” a recent addition to their catalog is this 1914 Velie (below), the details of which are accessible here.

On the heels of their recent announcement of the purchase of the Kruse Auction Park, RM Auctions‘ Auctions America by RM issued a release stating that the new venture has already consigned a staggering 800 vehicles for their four-day affair, which also begins on September 2. Refurbishment of the auction park (located here), so we’re told, has gone according to plan and the company is ready to usher in a new chapter to the ACD Festival weekend. One of Auctions America’s headline vehicles is this 1934 Duesenberg Model JN Convertible Sedan by Rollston (pictured below).

Auctions America’s catalog also includes muscle cars and hot rods, a segment of the hobby that the parent company has only dabbled with until now.

Covering all of the action in Auburn beginning on September 2 will be our very own Jim Donnelly. If you don’t have plans to join him and a few thousand others, look for his reports in upcoming issues of our Hemmings titles.
