Just waiting on the block to come back from the machine shop before we complete reassembly of the speedster. The 1934 block has poured babbitt main bearings so we had Allied Engine here in Bennington send the block out to have the babbitting done. As long as no other parts are needed, it should go back together quickly and we are going to have it dyno’d before installation, hopefully some time late next week. Have just about buttoned everything else up. The radiator has been sent out for a flush and pressure check and we are changing around the rear parking brake cables to make the system more effective, but otherwise, we are ready to drop the flathead back in and see how she goes. We’ll have a few future posts on other changes we have made during the offseason.
