No kiss for winning?

Written by webmin

As I mentioned when I posted the photo of the Jeep assembly line last week, Chrysler’s media site doesn’t have nearly as many vintage photos (“heritage photos,” as Chrysler calls them) as Ford’s, but there’s still some interesting nuggets in there. Of course, with the new Fiat 500 coming to the States shortly, Fiatsler trotted out several heritage photos of the old Fiat 500, including the above shot, captioned “Arturo Brunetto and Andrea Frueder, winners of the Liege-Brescia-Liege Rally with a Fiat 500 Sport in 1958.” A nice alternative to the color shot of Arturo and Andrea we typically see in stories about the first and only Liege-Brescia-Liege (not counting the modern resurrections).

Also included in the set were a couple undated photos of the Fiat 500 Abarth, one in front of a listing of six international records the car set, the other of the Abarth apparently setting those records.

We’ll have more shortly.
