Before there were trucks, there were self-propelled tractors. And if you like one, it only makes sense to have a fascination with the other. It follows even if petroleum isn’t the fuel. That’s why we direct you to next weekend’s Dover Steam Show at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds in Dover, Ohio.
This show, scheduled for August 20-22, is focused most closely on International Harvester equipment and the products of Russell Machinery, which built steam tractors in nearly Massillon, Ohio. Other to-sees include a pull for antique tractors and demonstrations of farming and milling techniques of the past. The fairgrounds is located off Interstate 77.
