Lost and Found overflow: Izmir, Turkey

Robin Hartford of Izmir, Turkey, recently sent us this photo taken from his days sailing the Mediterranean aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga CV-60. He notes the photo was taken in Izmir, Turkey, in 1974 or 1975, and he describes the scene:

At the time, downtown Izmir’s vehicles appeared to be right off the streets of Havana, Cuba, a combination of two decade old American cars and Russian-made trucks.

So what are the two American vehicles pictured?

I figure they are:

1956 Ford Customline 4-door sedan

1947 Plymouth Special De Luxe 4-door sedan

Judges, how did Robin do as a carspotter? And what of the truck in the background?
