There’s no way in a blowing cloud of diesel smoke that you can like real trucks and not like cool replicas of big rigs as well. Fortunately, we recently came across a couple of sites featuring superior truck models.

Via American Industrial Truck Models, the parts and scratchbuilding store operated by Dave Natale in southern New Jersey, we discovered Truckmodeler, from which we got these photos.

The above photo shows a pair of cattle trucks by Dave Guerrero. The tractor-trailer is a 1955 International RD-405 with integral sleeper, and the straight truck is a bullnose Kenworth, also from 1955. Both were constructed with resin kits from Illini Replica Conversions. The model in the lead photo, built by Michael Rauwerda, is an Atkinson 3800 outfitted with full anti-roo gear for Aussie outback duty.

Another notch on the list of great truck modeling sites.
