After digging up Abe Vigoda’s AMC Rebel commercial, oldmertz suggested we go looking for the AMC Ambassador commercial with Robert DeNiro in it. Twenty-seven years old at the time, DeNiro had already landed a few movie appearances, but he was still a few years away from his breakout roles in “Bang the Drum Slowly” and “Godfather: Part II.”
