Thought the only Hurst/Olds built in 1974 was a two-door Colonnade coupe, did you? Not the case at all, as we see from this pair of 1974 Hurst-built Oldsmobiles for sale on Hemmings.com, one a Delta 88 convertible and the other a very unique four-door Cutlass, both tied into the choice of a Hurst/Olds as the 1974 Indianapolis 500 pace car. From the seller’s description:

1. Delta 88 convertible (1 of 42 built). Originally owned by Hurst Performance and used by Linda Vaughn. Restored in 1996, Oldsmobile used this car at Indy twice as a Special Use Parade Car and also on their “Farewell” tour in 2003 to many car shows around the USA.

2. 4-door Cutlass Hurst/Olds (1 of 1 built), specially built for Tony Hulman, owner of the Indy 500 facility. Both cars have 350cid engines and are in excellent condition. They were part of a feature display at the National Muscle Car show in Chicago November 2010 and at Indy for the Pace Car Reunion May 2011. They are VERY presentable show cars that could be driven anywhere. A unique part of Hurst and Pace Car History. Selling them only as a pair
