Bob Davis was a smart guy: He let his children know (or, at least, left behind enough documentation) that the 1965 Ford Indy DOHC V-8 in his possession wasn’t any ordinary disassembled engine stand inhabitant. That means that now that Bob’s no longer with us, his children know better than to send the engine off to the scrap man or try to offload it for pennies on the dollar at some garage sale. Known used parts include engine block, crankshaft, and heads (with valves, springs, and camshafts already installed). New parts include one extra cylinder sleeve, 33 rod bolts, 17 sets of rod bearings (mix of red, orange and blue), 2 sets of rear main bearings with flanges (red, blue), 9 pair of front and middle main bearings (red, orange and blue), 18 boxes of Autolite spark plugs plus 10 single plugs, 2 boxes of Champion spark plugs plus 1 extra.
