1959 dodge (450 x 338)

Muscle car, plain old antique car, or both? We found this gem from 1959 – a Custom Royal Lancer two-door hardtop – which could easily stir the muscle car-or-not debate: The seller (and supporting photographs) states that the Dodge is equipped with the desirable D-500 engine package. That’s dual-quads on top of a 383-cu.in. V-8 making a (cough…factory-rated…cough) 320hp; just a couple years prior, this was to be the hot set-up in NASCAR until multi-carburetion was banned by the sanctioning body. From the seller:

All original with 35,600 miles. Road ready, with very nice interior that includes swivel seats. PS, PB, Dual Ant., Continental Kit and 383 with dual four barrel carbs. Original paint and chrome. $50,000 Negotiable.
