Hemmings Find of the Day – 1938 Indian

Written by webmin

When the first shots of the upcoming Captain America movie were released, everybody seemed displeased that a modern V-twin was dolled up as a World War II-era motorcycle. Now, if the producers had intended to go 100 percent authentic, they couldn’t have done much better than to have used this 1938 Indian for sale on Hemmings.com, loaded up with military gear. From the seller’s description:

This is an original Military Indian that runs with everything operable. Complete with night lights, leather machine gun holder, pistol case, Helmet with goggles (no lens), saddle bags, shovel and various army fatigues, all strapped down ready for battle. The model or Vin # is 38-C-111, the engine # is FCH774. The odometer shows 20,204. The bike appears to be complete and in excellent condition
