Hemmings Find of the Day – 1935 Ford

Written by webmin

We normally don’t select street rods for the Hemmings Find of the Day because we know that they don’t fit with many of our readers’ tastes, but here’s a thought to keep you awake at night: Are contemporary street rods the modern-day version of the coachbuilt automobile? Chip Foose himself has mentioned the connection in past interviews, and it’s hard not to draw similarities when looking over this Foose-built 1935 Ford street rod for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:

1935 Ford all steel 3-window coupe designed by Chip Foose and most of the construction done by Foose Design Shop. Top chopped 2 inches. Front fenders and hood lowered 2 inches. Wheelbase extended 2 inches. Kugel Komponents frame and independent front and rear end. Street & Performance polished engine & trans with high performance GM heads and cam. 400+hp, 400-watt 11-speaker stereo.  Corvette 6-way seats. Gabe interior. Painted by Charlie Hutton. 2,200 miles, in mint condition. Foose wheels. Five Best of Show Awards. 11 First Place awards.
