I love all the different ways Fords were put to work back in the Model T/Model A days, including as fuel tanker trucks. This 1930 Ford Model AA-131 appears to be a very well-restored example of that use, though it’s probably a safe bet that it no longer hauls Gilmore brand gasoline in the tanker, if it hauls anything. Here’s something to ponder, then: What would you haul around in the tanker portion of this truck? From the seller’s description:
1930 Ford AA fuel tanker w/600 gal tank body 13,207 miles, 131″ wheelbase. Featured in the Model A News; Volume 50 no. 5, Sept/Oct 2003 Also was on display at the Ford Centennial celebration in Dearborn, MI. Perfectly detailed and restored cab and chassis, as well as a restored authentic tanker body complete with period correct accessories for delivering fuel. Runs perfectly and would make a great parade or advertising vehicle as well as a fine show piece. You’ll never run out of gas with it!
