Located in Hickory Corners, Michigan, the Gilmore Car Museum Campus (aside from its own compilation of vintage vehicles) has an impressive lineup of individual marquee and/or theme-specific facilities: Classic Car Club of America Museum, Pierce-Arrow Museum, Franklin Collection at Hickory Corners, the Tucker Historical Collection and Library, Cadillac-La Salle Foundation and the Lincoln Motorcar Foundation, as well as the Midwest Miniatures Museum. Last month, it was announced that one more name would be added to the masthead: the Model A Ford Museum.

Representatives from various national and regional Model A clubs gathered for the official announcement back on November 4, which also outlined the proposed 12,000-sq.ft. facility designed to appear as a vintage Ford dealership; the groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled to take place during the summer of 2011. When completed, the facility will provide the Model A Ford Foundation, Inc. (the driving force behind this venture) with a permanent home for its collection, which includes several Model As, display engines and a plethora of artifacts.
