So while the meme might go by the name Crosleysonnastick, we can broaden that to carsonnastick and even broader to carsmountedhighforadvertisingpurposes. Though the latter doesn’t much roll off the tongue. In the broader category, then, we’ve seen a few such photos recently uploaded to the Hemmings Nation Flickr pool, including the above shot of a Model A speedster atop an old service station somewhere in British Columbia, uploaded by dave_7.
In response to the recent New Hampshire Crosleyonnastick, Hugo90 sent along this shot of a Crosleyonnaroof in Tacoma, Washington.
Finally, though not submitted to the Hemmings Nation Flickr pool, we thought this worth including here. Automotive historian Walter Godsen recently spotted this Hupmobile somewhere in Queens while taking the Long Island railroad from Nassau County into Manhattan. Walt wrote:
I remember the car from back in the 1970s when it was still on the road, and being driven with the same modified body on it. It deserves a better fate than it has now.
