Four-Links – ramp trucks, Crosley jalopy, Harry Mann Chevrolet, Jaguar 75th tribute

Written by webmin

* Phil Burgess over at the NHRA’s Dragster Insider blog recently posted a couple big batches of photos of vintage ramp trucks used to haul around everything from Super Stockers to Funny Cars.

* Dan Collins over at the Old Gold Garage Co. recently posted this photo of his father’s Crosley-based jalopy, used for romping around farms in Indio, California, in the early 1960s.

* Stretch at Nostalgia on Wheels found a neat photo of the COE wrecker used by Los Angeles-based Harry Mann Chevrolet, circa 1952. Thanks to one of the commenters on the post, we’ve got a rough idea of where Harry Mann was located as well. What struck us was the similarity to the COE wrecker used by Burt Chevrolet in Englewood, Colorado, that we featured here a while back.

* Those fine folks at Wired’s Autopia blog put up a tribute to Jaguar’s 75th anniversary earlier this week and included one of those inside-the-exotic-car-factory shots we’re so fond of.

* Finally, our own Kate Sullivan spotted this story of a stolen late 1970s Celica being pulled from the Cocheco River in Rochester, New York New Hampshire.
