I’ve been reaching out to Corvairs owners in clubs in the Northeast to help assemble the Corvair class for our Concours, and the response has been terrific. Not only should we have a full field on Concours Sunday, but there are enough coming just for the show that we’re going to have a special Corvair pavilion on Saturday.
I would like to give a special word of thanks to Robert Marlow, President of the New Jersey Association of Corvair Enthusiasts, for his particular enthusiasm. He’s planning on making a weekend of it–and bringing a good portion of the club with him as their July club excursion. In turn, Bob is talking with other clubs in the region about coming along, as well. With good weather and participation we could end up seeing several dozen ‘Vairs–50 really isn’t out of the question for Saturday, given the history of stellar turnouts around here. Break out the Oil-Dri and fan belts, people, this is going to be a party.
If you’re a Corvair owner interested in attending, either for the Concours or the Saturday open show, drop me a line. Here’s a sampling of some of our Concours candidates to date. We’ve only decided on a few, but the rest of the field will fill up fast.
