Charlotte Report: Two not-lost dealerships

Written by webmin

Most of the staff have been down at the Charlotte AutoFair this week, so expect photos and coverage shortly here on the blog as well as in the pages of the magazines. Matt Litwin was able to send along a few photos from the Tom Mack Spring Fling auction yesterday and today, including these two dealership nameplates.

First up, on the back of a 1967 Mustang fastback, this dealer plate from Phil Long Ford of Colorado Springs, Colorado. We quickly found out that Phil Long is still selling cars in Colorado Springs, though his lineup now includes Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Suzuki, Toyota, Hyundai, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, Saturn and even Mahindra in addition to Ford.

Also still dealing cars is Herndon Chevrolet of Lexington, South Carolina, which applied this dealer sticker to the back of a 1972 Chevrolet Malibu convertible. Unlike Phil Long, Herndon has apparently stuck with just Chevrolet at 5617 Sunset Boulevard.
