As promised, we are submitting for your approval a few more photos of RHD classic cars and trucks from the recent show in Castlemaine courtesy of Rhonda Martinez. And this gives us the perfect opportunity to throw in a few she sent us from the Chopped Hot Rod 3 Day Festival held about a month ago in Newstead.
Can’t tell for sure on this photo. It could be a 1949-’53 Anglia E93A or it could be a 103E Popular, which was basically an Anglia with the bigger side-valve engine. I assume the license plate might be the best clue as to what it might be. Nice to see one that isn’t rodded out.
Could not identify this one from the side view. I assume the lack of running boards where it appears there should be some is an indication that this car was raced quite a lot. Appears to be Austin Seven-like but definitely not a boattail.
The postwar pickup nose and cab was mounted on a ’77 F350 chassis. An ’08 Cummins 5.9 Diesel with LP Gas injection was then crammed under the hood. A Ford C-6 automatic and US Gear overdrive distributes the power to a Dana 3:54 differential in the rear. I hope the wing is just for aesthetics.
Two photos from the event last month:
Apparently someone chose to spend the entire Chopped Hot Rod three day festival on premises. Nice RHD Ford restoration though.
