Can you help Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car find the missing Porsche ads?

Written by webmin

Readers of car magazines in the late ’70s and first half of the ’80s will remember a series of Porsche ads called “Consumer Orientation” in a “Series of Technical Papers.” As far as we can tell, they went up to #28, ending in 1986. They covered the 924 and 924 Turbo, 944 and 944 Turbo, the 928, and of course, various iterations of the 911. We’re trying to collect the lot, but we’re missing a couple. Might you know where we can find, or even have, the following numbers:

#10 (ca. 1980-81)
#14 (ca. 1981-82)
#23 (ca. 1983)
#27 (1986)

A scouring of our Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and (admittedly incomplete) Road & Track collections has turned up nothing. Automobile magazine started in ’86, but the Porsche ad in the debut issue was a multipage deal that was a different campaign altogether.) Scans of the originals, or a note on what magazines and issues we can find the four particular ads listed above, would be most welcome.
