Although Bowling Green, Kentucky, is the Corvette aficionado’s Graceland, it’s also home to the Buick GS Club of America‘s annual Buick GS Nationals. Traditionally a mid-May event, this year’s 30th Anniversary gathering was postponed due to the tragic flooding throughout the area. Fortunately, the forecast predicts sunny skies as GS owners descend upon the speedway/town this week; the official rescheduled dates are October 20-23.

The four-day affair is open to just about all performance Buicks, including the Grand National, and event organizers have planned a special display of original GS owners, as well a Wildcat Reunion. Unhampered by the delay, the event will still include a full slate of drag racing (including, we’re told, match races against Corvettes), and a multi-class car show on Friday; there’s bound to be a surprise or two for all who attend. We’re arriving on the scene on Thursday, and with a little luck, we’ll provide some same-day updates. If you can’t make the show, look for coverage in future issues of Hemmings Motor News and Hemmings Muscle Machines.
