Ah, a film about Mad Max-obsessed dirtballs from L.A. who are preparing for the coming apocalypse by building a flat-black, fire-spewing, supercharged 1972 Buick Skylark. But it’s a love story. Sure. Right. What? As improbable as it sounds, writer/director Evan Glodell’s film “Bellflower” made some waves at this year’s Sundance film festival, attracting attention from a number of reviewers and securing a film-distribution deal here in the United States. And now we hear that the Skylark, named Medusa, will appear at the New York International Auto Show to promote the film, which will come to theaters this August. BTW, if you can’t make it to New York to see the Skylark in person, Wired’s Terrence Russell took a look at Medusa at the time the film premiered.
