There’s a collector up in New Hampshire, John Muir, who’s put together an A-Z collection – that is, a collection of cars with model names starting with every letter of the alphabet. I’m sure I’m not the first person who, upon hearing him describe the collection, immediately asked what he did for Q, X and Z. For that same reason, I had a little bit of trepidation walking into our Automotive Alphabet exercise because I knew we’d eventually have to confront those letters. And indeed, while I’ve been able to come up with a standalone letter for every entry in our alphabet until now, I’ve come up with zilch for a standalone Q despite investigating every Queen, Qvale, Quantum and Infiniti Q badge that I could find. Can you do any better, or is there really no such thing as a standalone Q in all of automotive emblem history?
