Restoring or modifying a car ain’t easy. If it were, everybody’d be doing it instead of us lunatics. Plenty of obstacles – beyond the usual limitations of time, space, and money – will crop up along the way, making you and your loved ones question your sanity and leading you to consider taking up something less nerve-wracking, like joining the bomb squad.
That’s why we dig the story of the Little Green Hornet, recently uploaded to the My Hemmings pages by Frank Miranda of Marysville, California. It almost seems like nothing goes right for the guy, yet he persists in getting his 1974 Triumph Spitfire ready for the road, complete with the modifications he specified for it. He writes:
If you ever decide to fulfill your dream; have a plan, have the funds and have years worth of patience. I did and now I will enjoy my prize.
By the way, that independent rear suspension he mentions is now available from Chris Cancelli at Performance Research Industries in Sutherlin, Oregon.
