Looking like something Ghia would have built circa 1958, instead we see that Eugene Eick of Middleport, New York, built this sports car using a Crosley chassis and sheetmetal body sometime in 1957. He claimed it cost him just $350 and took just nine months to build, and for his efforts, he won Mechanix Illustrated‘s Golden Hammer award for March 1958.
If it’s still around, it deserves a microturbine under the hood. And a mechanism for inserting through the grille gel capsules of flammable liquid marked “Power Pellets.”
