* If you happened to have your eyes burned out of your skulls by the recently unveiled design of the new London double-decker bus, here’s a tonic: The boys at BigLorryBlog recently visited the London Transport Museum, which provides good viewing of the double-deckers of yesteryear.
* Over at Junkyard Life, a yearbook photo from 1974 has opened up a couple mysteries, not the least of which is what happened to this rather unusual Charger with such a large sunroof.
* A bit of an older post, but still worth pointing to: Bobby Green assembled an interesting collection of photos of antique accessory stoplamps, many of which were quite elaborate. (via)
* Well, says here that the first purpose-built automobile factory in the U.K. was constructed to assemble the Madelvic, an electric horseless carriage powered by a fifth wheel, in 1898. Looks like some sort of steampunk fantasy, which means we should probably expect to see something like this show up at a future Burning Man or Handcar Regatta.
* Finally, for those who got a kick out of Brandon Ortwein’s van designs last week, feast your eyes upon Andrew Mark Hunter’s superhero-themed vans. I may very well do the Captain America theme on a domestic one of these days.
