Here’s a heartwarming story to give you some gift-giving inspiration for Holiday Season 2010, or maybe serve as a scary Ghost-of-Christmas-Yet-to-Come message to get you off your butt and working on an unfinished project:
Two thoughtful young fellas steal their Dad’s 1969 Norton Commando project bike, and smuggle it up to the The Classic Bike Experience in Essex, Vermont, where the hands of time are magically turned back.
Then the brothers reunite their tearful Dad with his beautiful British bike on Christmas morning. The kids did a heckuva nice job documenting the whole caper for posterity, and you can watch it all go down on YouTube.
Though the point is made over and over again in the video, it’s pretty amazing/sad that Dad doesn’t notice that the pieces of his covetable Commando are missing from their various locations in his garage, the basement, etc. A nice holiday story or A Christmas Carol? You decide Ebenezer . . . now get out in the garage and get to work!
