Hemmings Find of the Day – 1987 Fiat X1/9

While Fiat left America in 1982, the same year it stopped building the X1/9, Bertone kept production going through 1989, and a Malcolm Bricklin company kept importing them through 1987, which explains the model year on this 1987 Fiat X1/9 for sale on Hemmings.com. That also means that this is one of the last such cars brought to the States. Like other budget mid-engine two-seaters, it’s not often you come across one of these that hasn’t been thrashed and left for dead or modified to the door handles. From the seller’s description:

Working AC, Not Rusty, Good Tires, Alloy Wheels. Paint leaves a little to be desired. Tee Top comes off, mid engine, New Water Pump, Runs Good, a soon to be classic. Very Exotic, Spoiler, Good Body, Not many left.
