Wow, we got a lot of commentary about the stunning 1959 Chrysler New Yorker wagon that in the AACA Grand National Show two weekends ago in New Bern, North Carolina. Much of the comment asked about the Chrysler’s engine, which points up the fact that I forgot to post a photo of it. Hope this remedies things. Yes indeed, it’s a 413-cu.in. wedge with a single four-barrel, and as you’d expect, this lavishly optioned Florida car also has air conditioning.

Several of you who posted wondered if the New Yorker featured a dual-carb setup. No, but this 1957 Plymouth Belvedere convertible does. In 1957, Plymouth offered the Fury only as a hardtop. This Belvedere convertible, however, is optioned with the ultimate in Plymouth power that year, the 317.6-cu.in. V-8 with dual Carter WCFBs and 290hp.
