Last year’s show attracted 162 cars, including Jim Taylor’s 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, which won the publisher’s choice award.

Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car Day returns to the Saratoga Auto Museum on August 7, when the spotlight will be on the cars of BMW and Norton motorcycles. The show is open to pre-1989 vintage sports, GT and exotic cars, with awards given out for the editors’ favorite British, French, German, Italian, Swedish and Japanese cars, as well as publisher’s choice, editor’s choice, best in show, favorite BMW and favorite Norton. A new twist this year is inclusion of 1989 and newer sports and exotic cars, which will be admitted to a display-only area of the show field.

Registration is $15 per vehicle, or $10 for non-judged, post-1988 vehicles, and admission for spectators is free. Last year’s show drew 162 cars, including nearly 50 Alfa Romeos, that year’s featured marque. This is a show for vehicles of all conditions, from Pebble Beach-quality restorations to well-worn daily drivers. Come and make a weekend of it — visit the displays at the museum, shop and dine in Saratoga Springs and take in some of Saratoga County’s many cultural attractions.
