As John Robins pointed out in last week’s Hemmings Six Degrees of Automotive Separation Challenge, “the motor industry is at least as incestuous as the animals on the Ark.” It’s becoming way too easy to link the companies we select with the companies suggested for each week’s challenge, though I think that’s just as much the result of the complex ties between all the automotive companies as it is the stellar abilities of our regular Six Degrees players to point out those ties. So let’s cross over into the world of motorcycles, something we’ve yet to do much with our challenges, and base this week’s challenge on Ducati.

This week’s game will be played in the fox-and-hound format. That is, whoever responds first gets to suggest another automotive company to connect to Ducati in six degrees or less. Whoever successfully answers that challenge gets to suggest another company to connect to Ducati, and so on and so forth. As always, a connection consists of one company sharing parts with, owning, or merging with another company. Feel free to suggest and/or use in your answers both motorcycle and automotive companies.
