NHRA: Sixty Years of Thunder Invades Petersen Automotive Museum

Written by webmin

The Petersen Automotive Museum, located on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, will be opening their doors to a new exhibit this weekend. NHRA: Sixty Years of Thunder is devoted solely to the history of the NHRA – from its creation to the modern machines that propel the sport’s biggest names down the quarter-mile in a mere handful of seconds. Historic photographs, videos, interactive displays and the race cars (a Dragster, Funny Car, Gasser, Pro Stock, Super Stock, Altered and a drag bike) will all help convey the story of the National Hot Rod Association. The exhibit will run through May 29, 2011. For more information, call 323-930-2277, or visit www.petersen.org.
