We tend to call ourselves classic car collectors, even though perhaps the vast majority of us only have one or two old cars in our garages. One or two old cars doesn’t constitute a collection. Half a dozen examples of the same model, on the other hand, does constitute a collection, and one collector’s divesting himself of his assemblage of 1978 and 1979 Dodge Li’l Red Express pickups.
His description was a little thin, so we called him up to find out more. It turns out he actually has three more Li’l Red Expresses that he might include in the sale if the price is right. The six we see here he restored himself, while the three others are all either original or mostly original. All are equipped more or less the same: A few have air conditioning, and two have red interiors (versus black). He said he is willing to separate them, but he’d be willing to sell them all at once as well, thus forming the basis for somebody else’s collection.
