Now this is tailgating. At least the “tail” part of it. The Ariel Corporation of Mount Vernon, Ohio, commissioned Kentucky Trailers in 2008 to create this lovely polished trailer for use at trade show. It harks back to the days when federal length and weight restrictions limited most over-the-road rigs to a single axle on both the tractor and trailer.

The trailer’s only been used a handful of times for fewer than 5,000 miles, and has an air-conditioned interior with lighting and cabinets. While Phil Samuell’s restored 1958 Mack B-85F tractor isn’t part of the deal, it does a lot to explain the visual impact here. Price for the trailer is a negotiable $45,000. Call 740-501-4989.
