Heyyyyy, Chevrolet never made a Monte Carlo convertible, right? Then why do we see a 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for sale on Hemmings.com with its top down? (As it should be; after all, why build a personal luxury car and not offer it as a droptop?) Reportedly, it’s fairly easy to create phantom Monte convertibles by splicing in the appropriate parts from a Chevelle convertible of the same year, and this one looks seamless from the photos.
