Hemmings Find of the Day – 1963 Dragster

Written by webmin

Conventional drag racing wisdom has the East Coast home to the stockers and super stockers, with the West Coast as the natural habitat of nitro-huffing rail dragsters. Exceptions abound to convention, including this Connecticut-based 1963 dragster chassis for sale on Hemmings.com. The tubing comes complete with wheels, body panels, and a name – the Flower Child. Those with a 400-cubic-inch Donovan, a fresh blower, and a barrel or two of nitromethane kicking around the garage are so advised to scare up some aluminum for a new motor plate. From the seller:

This is a ’60s front-engine dragster. It is a rolling chassis; I do have the body for the car. It was called Flower Child. $4,995
